Accreditation for SADC Summit 

The South African government will assume the Chairmanship of SADC in August 2008.

Accordingly, the South African government will host the SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, Gauteng from Saturday 16 – Sunday 17 August 2008.

The Summit will be preceded by the Council of Ministers meeting from Thursday 14 – Friday 15 August 2008.

The Ministerial Task Force on Regional Economic Integration will take place on Wednesday 13 August 2008.

Media wishing to cover this meeting are requested to forward details for accreditation to malawanax@foreign.gov.za by Tuesday 5 August 2008 16h00.  Details required:

• Name
• Media House
• Identity №

Accreditation will be live and media will have to present themselves at the accreditation centre at the Sandton Conference Centre with the following documentation:

• South African Identity Document or Passport
• Press card.

Media without the required documentation will not be accredited.

The accreditation centre will be operational from Friday 8 August 2008 08h00 – 17h00.

Unaccredited media will not have access to the conference venue.
