SADC Ministerial Organ Troika Meeting, Saturday, 8 November 2008

Sandton- The SADC Ministers of the Organ Troika will hold a preparatory meeting on Saturday 8 November 2008 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg ahead of the SADC Extra-Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government scheduled for Sunday 9 November at the same venue.

The Ministerial meeting will deliberate upon and process recommendations on the current situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and facilitation efforts in Zimbabwe for ratification by the SADC Heads of State Organ Troika scheduled for the evening of Saturday 8 November.

The SADC Heads of State and Government Organ Troika consisting Swaziland, Angola, Mozambique and South Africa will meet to consider recommendations of the Ministerial Organ Troika before being presented to the SADC Extra-Ordinary Summit on Sunday.

The Ministerial Organ Troika meeting will be preceded by a meeting of the Heads of the Defence Force Chiefs of Swaziland, Angola, Mozambique with South Africa attending.
