Disappearance of South African Women in Dubai

Pretoria - The South African Consulate-General in Dubai is in contact with the Dubai Foreign Ministry and local police following the disappearance of a South African citizen.

In this regard, the Consulate-General is in touch with and rendering consular assistance to members of the family since the Consulate-General was approached on the matter on Friday 29 August 2008.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and its Consulate General will continue to render assistance to the family of the citizen whilst liaising with the authorities in Dubai to find closure to the matter as speedily as possible.
