South African Government Notes Media Reports Regarding the Death of a South African National in the Ugandan Plane Crash.

Pretoria: The South African Government has noted media reports that one South African citizen died in a plane crash that killed seven people in Uganda on Monday, 09 March 2009.

In this regard the Government, through its High Commission in Uganda, is in the process of verifying whether indeed the deceased is a South African national.

If this proves to be indeed the case the South African Government will render the normal consular services through the High Commission in Kampala.
