President Jacob Zuma conveys condolences following the death of the Zimbabwean Vice President, Joseph Msika.
Pretoria: President Jacob Zuma has extended condolences to the Unity Government and people of Zimbabwe following the passing of one of the Vice-Presidents, Mr Joseph Msika, on 4 August 2009.
In this regard, President Jacob Zuma said: “It is with a deep sense of sadness that I have learnt of the passing of Vice President Msika at this critical time in the history of Zimbabwe when challenges facing the country need experienced leaders like him. On behalf of the Government of South Africa and on my own behalf I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to the people of Zimbabwe, particularly to the family and close relatives of Vice President Msika.”
“Mr Msika’s passing is indeed a painful loss not only to the Zimbabwean people but to the entire Southern African Development Community (SADC) region and the continent”, concluded President Zuma.
