MRS EC VAN LINGEN (DA) TO ASK THE MINISTER OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND COOPERATION:


1. What number of international visits were undertaken by each municipality in each province and each provincial government and Legislatures in each of the provinces for each of the financial years, 2007/08, 2008/09 and 2009/10, up to the latest date for which information is available?

2. To which country was each visit undertaken by each of the municipalities in each of the provinces and each provincial governments and Legislatures in each province, and what was the reason for each of these visits?

3. How many politicians and officials undertook each of the visits who are these politicians official and in what capacity did each of these individuals undertake each of the visits?

4. What was the total cost for each of the visits undertaken by each municipality in each province and (b) provincial government, including Legislature in each of the provinces?

The total cost for each visit undertaken is budgeted by the Province/Municipality/Legislature. DIRCO (Missions) only provide quotations for accommodation, ground transport and interpretation services (Logistics), which payments thereof, are borne by the visiting delegation. The budget resides with the stakeholders.
