Media programme of the Brazil state visit to South Africa 08-09 July 2010

The President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will arrive in South Africa for a State Visit on Friday, 08 July, at the Waterkloof Airforce Base, Pretoria, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of South Africa, President Jacob Zuma.
The programme of the State Visit is as follows:

08 JULY 2010

17:35: President Lula da Silva and delegation arrive
Venue: Waterkloof Air Force Base, Pretoria

09 JULY 2010

09h00: Opening ceremony

Venue: The Amphitheatre, Union Buildings, Pretoria

11h20-11h50: Signing ceremony and media conference

Venue: West Wing Lawns of the Union Buildings, Pretoria

12h25: President Zuma and President Lula da Silva tour the Freedom Park

Venue: Freedom Park, Pretoria

15h00: Courtesy call on President Lula da Silva by Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe

Venue: Hilton Hotel, Sandton

15H30: President Zuma and President Lula da Silva attend the South Africa - Brazil Business Forum

Venue: Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg
                       
19h30: State Banquet hosted by President Zuma in honour of President Lula da Silva

Venue: The Presidential Guesthouse, Bryntirion Estates, Nassau Street, Pretoria
