The President of the Republic of South Africa Jacob Gehleyihlekisa Zuma has congratulated Cameroon and Sudan.

The President of the Republic of South Africa Jacob Gehleyihlekisa Zuma has congratulated the people of Cameroon on the occasion of their 50th anniversary of freedom from colonial rule by Britain and France. Your freedom has essentially encouraged us to wage an arduous struggle for Freedom in our country from the yoke of apartheid and colonialism.

The President has also congratulated the people of Southern Sudan on the occasion of the inauguration of their President. This inauguration signifies the path to peace, reconciliation and reconstruction for the people of Southern Sudan and Africa as a whole.

The Minister for Performance and Monitoring in the Presidency Mr Collins Chabane has represented the South African Government in both occasions as a special envoy of the President of South Africa.
