Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr Ebrahim Ebrahim, to handover a cheque to the flood victims of Pakistan in Cape Town

Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr  Ebrahim Ebrahim, will on Monday 29 November, in Cape Town, handover a cheque of R5 million to the Pakistani victims of floods.

The Deputy Minister will be handing a cheque that was donated by the Oasis Group as part of their partnership with civil society and Government in response to the tragic natural disaster that befell the people of Pakistan earlier this year.

“Since inception, government has actively supported the plight of the poor and less fortunate communities and the eradication of all social disparities in any form and manifestations.

“We will continue to work in partnership with all stakeholders in the private sector and the civil society with a view to establish sustainable long term mechanisms in responding to calamities here at home and abroad”, the Deputy Minister concluded.
