President Jacob Zuma congratulates Mr Bronisław Komoroskwi on his Inauguration as the new President of the Republic of Poland

The President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Mr Jacob. G. Zuma wishes to congratulate, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Mr Bronisław Komorowski on his inauguration as the new Presidential of the Republic of Poland on 6 August 2010.

It can be seen as a very positive development that the people of the Republic of Poland have utilised the opportunity to elect a new Head of State, following the tragic events on 10 April 2010 in which the previous Head of State and his wife and many other senior government representatives had died.  This demonstrates the strength and courage of the people of the Republic of Poland.

President Jacob Zuma wishes His Excellency Mr Bronisław Komorowski everything of the best with his new position and expresses the hope that the two countries will continue to enjoy close and friendly relations during the tenure of President Komorowski as Head of State of the Republic of Poland.
