Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane to hold a Public Lecture on South Africa’s Election to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, will present a public lecture to be held on Friday, 15 October 2010, at the University of Pretoria, Hatfield campus, as part of her outreach programme. The Minister will be hosted by the university’s Department of Political Sciences and the Institute for Strategic and Political Affairs (ISPA).

It is expected that in her presentation, Minister Nkoana-Mashabane will focus on South Africa’s election into the UNSC for the period 2011 to 2012; what the country will do on the Security Council; and its contribution to the United Nations system.

Minister Nkoana-Mashabane will be supported by Senior Officials from the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO).
