Media Invite: COP17 Minister Nkoana-Mashabane meets Organized Labour

International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane will host a consultative meeting with labour representatives on Monday, 29 August 2011. The consultative meeting forms part of South Africa’s preparations for the 17th Conference of Parties (COP17) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

VENUE: DIRCO Conference Centre, 460 Soutpansberg Road, Rietondale, Pretoria

Minister Nkoana-Mashabane will host the meeting in her capacity as the incoming President of COP17, which takes place from 28 November to 09 December 2011 in Durban. The meeting with labour follows Minister Nkoana-Mashabane’s consultative meeting with organized business on 22 August 2011.  The COP17 is expected to attract thousands of participants from around the world.
