President sends Tourism Minister to Monaco Wedding

President Jacob Zuma has asked the Minister of Tourism, Mr Marthinus van Schalkwyk, to represent him at the wedding of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and Ms Charlene Wittstock of Benoni, South Africa, which is to take place on the 2nd of July.

The President will not be able to attend the wedding due to the 17th African Union assembly session that is taking place in Equatorial Guinea and other matters of State.

On behalf of Government and the people of South Africa, the President wishes the couple well with their nuptials and their life together as man and wife, and extends good wishes to Ms Wittstock in particular, as she prepares to assume royal responsibilities.
