President Jacob Zuma conveys condolences to the Russian Federation

President Jacob Zuma has learnt with profound sadness the news of a Russian Jet crash carrying a top Ice Hockey Team. The crash is reported to have claimed the lives of more than 40 people.

On behalf of the government and the people of South Africa, President Jacob Zuma has conveyed a message of condolences to President Dmitry Medvedev, the government and the people of the Russian Federation.

President Zuma said: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Russian people and, particularly, the families of the deceased during this difficult time of mourning and sadness.”
