The South African Government Statement on the passing on of Former President Frederick Chiluba of the Republic of Zambia

It is with great shock and sadness to learn of the passing on of former President of the Republic of Zambia, HE Frederick Chiluba, today, 18 June 2011.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Chiluba family, Government and the people of Zambia during these difficult and trying times of the loss of their son and leader.

“On behalf of the Government and people of South Africa, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathies to the Government and people of the Republic of Zambia as they try to come to terms with the loss of their own”.
