President Jacob Zuma conveys condolences to the Government and people of the Argentine Republic following the subway train crash at Once Central Station, 22 February 2012.

South African President, His Excellency Jacob Zuma today, 23 February 2012, conveyed his sincere condolences to President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, the Government and the people of the Argentine Republic following the subway train crash at Once Central Station “causing the death of 49 passengers, with over 600 injured, as informed by the Argentine Federal Police”

“On behalf of the Government and people of South Africa, I wish to extend our condolences to the Government and the people of the Argentine Republic. The people of South Africa share the pain and loss of the loved ones, and our thoughts and prayers go to the affected families.”

We also wish those injured a speedy recovery.

The South African government wishes the rescue and recovery teams every success in their efforts as they coordinate aid and assistance services.
