Media Invite: Discussion Forum on Sudan’s transition to democracy

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) invites all media to a discussion forum on Sudan’s transition to democracy, to be addressed by the United States Special Envoy for Sudan, Ambassador Princeton N. Lyman.

Ambassador Lyman, US Ambassador to SA from 1992-1995, was appointed by President Barack Obama as the US Special Envoy for Sudan in March 2011. Immediately preceding his tenure as Special Envoy, he served as U.S. Senior Advisor on North-South Negotiations, where he led the US team supporting on-going negotiations between the parties to Sudan’s 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).

The discussion forum will take place as follows:
