Deputy Minister Marius Fransman arrives in Geneva for UN Human Rights Council Meeting

International Relations and Cooperation Deputy Minister Marius Fransman has arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in the High-Level Segment of the 19th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), currently taking place from 27 February - 01 March 2012.

Deputy Minister Fransman is scheduled to deliver a statement on Wednesday, 29 February 2012, during the plenary meeting of the High-Level Segment.

It is expected that the Deputy Minister's statement will focus on contemporary issues facing the international human rights system and the agenda of the Human Rights Council.

During his visit to Geneva, Deputy Minister Fransman will hold bilateral talks with his counterparts, as well as with Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Justice and Human Rights on issues of mutual interest, including on multilateral cooperation and human rights matters.
