Whether she had been informed that the Zimbabwean constitution drafting teams are two years behind schedule; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so,
- Whether elections will be held in Zimbabwe before the initial deadline of June 2013; if not, how was this conclusion reached?

Yes, the Minister is aware of the fact that the constitution making process is behind schedule.
- The GPA envisages that an election in Zimbabwe will only be held following the finalisation of the constitution making process. Currently, the Constitutional Parliamentary Select Committee (COPAC) is drafting a new Constitution after which a referendum and then elections should be held. Our Government therefore expect that there would be no deviation from the provisions of the GPA.
