Diplomatic Fair to promote and celebrate the year of Pan-Africanism and the African Renaissance

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), in partnership with the City of Tshwane, will host the annual Diplomatic Fair at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Saturday, 26 October 2013, under the theme: “Celebrating 50 years of the OAU/AU - Embracing Diversity, Tolerance, Unity and Pan-Africanism.”

The Diplomatic Fair will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the OAU/AU and is expected to attract over 50 foreign diplomatic missions and 18 United Nations agencies. In a massive exhibition, the diplomatic community is expected to share with the members of the public information about their histories, cultures, traditions and cuisine.

Through the Fair, the Department aims, amongst other things, to provide the public with information about countries accredited to South Africa and afford government, business, the diplomatic corps and other sectors of society the opportunity to network and engage.
