President Zuma to attend ECCAS Summit in Chad

President Jacob Zuma will tomorrow, 18 April 2013, attend the Extra-ordinary Summit of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) to discuss developments in the Central African Republic.

The President will be accompanied by the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and the Minister of State Security, Dr Siyabonga Cwele.

The Summit has been convened by the ECCAS chairperson, His Excellency Mr Idriss Deby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad.

The President’s events that had been scheduled for tomorrow will now be undertaken by Honourable Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe. These are the Independent Newspaper Group “Work SA” employment promotion initiative in Sandton and the launch in Soweto of the Youth Employment Incentive Accord by the NEDLAC social partners, announced by the President in the State of the Nation Address.
