President Jacob Zuma Sends Words Of Solidarity To The United Mexican States Following Hurricane Ingrid And Tropical Storm Manuel

The President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Mr Jacob Zuma, has on behalf of the Government and the people of South Africa, expressed condolences to the Government and people of  the United  Mexican States following devastating tropical storms that has ripped Mexico  and claimed more than 80 lives.

Expressing his condolence, President Zuma said; “We mourn with the Government and the people of Mexico as they come to terms with the effects of the devastating storm, leaving behind trail of destruction and death."

"The people of South Africa share the pain and loss of the loved ones, their homes and property and our thoughts and prayers go to the affected families", President Zuma added.

There have been no reports of South Africans that are stranded in Mexico.The South African Mission in Mexico will monitor the situation.
