Minister Nkoana-Mashabane to embark on an Outreach Programme in Mpumalanga

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, will tomorrow, Thursady, 11 July 2013, undertake a Public Participation Programme to Mashishing, Mpumalanga, under the theme: “Working Together for Youth Development and a Drug Free South Africa”.

The objectives of the Minister’ Public Participation Programme are:

  • to popularise South Africa’s foreign policy and the mandate of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation;  
  • explain the link between the country’s domestic priorities and the Department’s international engagements;
  • ensure that a mutually beneficial engagement is established between DIRCO and a host of non-state actors, i.e. members of the public, academia, business, religious formations, members of the Diaspora, etc,   across the country.
