Minister Nkoana-Mashabane to launch Ubuntu Radio

International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane will officially launch Ubuntu Radio, an online, 24-hour radio station, on 17 October 2013 in Pretoria.

Through this station, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation seeks to raise public awareness and stimulate public discourse on South Africa’s foreign policy.

The station will be accessible on the internet, at www.ubunturadio.com , and in its current format, is the first of its kind on the African continent. The station is also the first in South Africa to operate under the auspices of a government institution for non-commercial purposes.
