Minister Nkoana-Mashabane to embark on an outreach programme in Limpopo

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, together with the Premier of Limpopo, Mr Stanley Mathabatha will undertake a Public Participation Programme to Limpopo.

The objectives of the Minister’ Public Participation Programme are:

  • To popularise South Africa’s foreign policy and the mandate of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation;

  • Ensure that a mutually beneficial engagement is established between DIRCO and a host of non-state actors, i.e. members of the public, academia, business, religious formations, members of the Diaspora, etc., across the country;

  • It’s a platform within which we articulate South Africa's foreign policy principles, positions, and explain some of the decisions we take in our foreign policy engagements;

  • It's also a platform in which we illustrate linkages between our foreign policy objectives and the country's domestic interests;

  • It's platform that seek to promote social cohesion between citizens ,private sectors ,and other relevant stakeholders;

  • Inform citizens and stakeholders our programmes towards creating strategic partnerships;
