Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ebrahim Ebrahim to undertake an official visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar

The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Mr Ebrahim I Ebrahim, will undertake a Working Visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from 4-5 December 2013.

The focus of his visit is trade and investment. Deputy Minister Ebrahim will be accompanied by the South African Ambassador to Myanmar, resident in Bangkok.

Deputy Minister Ebrahim is expected to meet with the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and to also host a business reception for operators in key sectors of Myanmar’s economy.

Furthermore, Deputy Minister Ebrahim will have bilateral discussions with his counterpart, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency U Thant Kyaw, pay a courtesy call on the Vice President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, His Excellency Dr Sai Mauk Kham and meet with the country’s Minister of Commerce, His Excellency U Win Myint.
