President Zuma congratulates the British Royal Family

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency President Jacob Zuma conveys his heartfelt congratulations  to their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge following the birth of the young Prince.

President Zuma said: "South Africa congratulates the British Royal Family on the newest addition to the Family. We wish the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge all the best in this exciting new stage of their lives.”

“May the life of your new baby, His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge, be filled with peace and love”, said President Zuma.

The Republic of South Africa and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland share a longstanding and multifaceted relationship.

Cementing the historic relations between the two countries, the United Kingdom-South Africa Bilateral Forum was established in 1997 as a structured consultative mechanism between the two governments to develop and enhance mutually beneficial political, cultural and economic relations.
