MR KA SINCLAIR (COPE-NC) TO ASK THE MINISTER OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND COOPERATION:

(1) Whether the spy reports which emanating from the 2009 G20 meeting on South African delegates has affected the South Africa-United Kingdom (UK) relations; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what are the relevant details;

(2) Whether there is no urgency from the South African Government to summons the UK Ambassador to South Africa on this matter; if not, why not; if so, what are the relevant details?   CW375E

REPLY:

(1) No

(2) The South African Government has called on the United Kingdom Government to investigate this matter fully with a view to take strong and visible action against those involved in the act.
