 President Jacob Zuma sends condolences to the People’s Republic of China

 On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency President Jacob Zuma has conveyed a message of condolences to the People’s Republic of China following a devastating earthquake in Yunnan Province on 3 August.

The earthquake killed 367 people and left 1881 injured.  President Zuma said: "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Chinese government in particular families who lost their loved ones during this natural disaster. We wish the injured speedy recoveries".
