President Zuma sends a message of condolence following floods and landslides in Japan

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of South Africa, President Jacob Zuma has conveyed a message of condolences to the Government and people of Japan following the tragic loss of lives as a result of heavy rains which caused flash floods and landslides in Hiroshima.

President Zuma said: “Our thoughts are with the people of Japan at this time of grief and sorrow in the wake of the loss of so many lives. The Government and the people of South Africa wish the families who have lost their loved ones the strength to recover from this tragic and unfortunate natural disaster”.
