President Zuma to undertake a Working Visit to the Kingdom of Lesotho

His Excellency President Jacob Zuma, Chair of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security, is scheduled to undertake a Working Visit to the Kingdom of Lesotho on Tuesday, 09 September 2014.

The visit of the President follows the Ministerial Committee of the Organ meeting on 31 August 2014 as well as the President’s meeting with the Coalition Leaders on 01 September 2014 in Pretoria.

During the visit, the President is expected to consult with His Majesty King Letsie III and also hold discussions with the Coalition Leaders to assess the progress in the implementation of the Windhoek Declaration as well as other SADC Decisions.

The visit by President Zuma demonstrates a clear commitment by SADC to assist the Coalition Leaders to implement the Windhoek Declaration as well as to assist the Kingdom to restore peace and stability.

President Zuma will be accompanied by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.
