South Africa pledges solidarity with Chile following devastating floods

The South African Government is pledging solidarity with the people of Chile in light of the devastating floods that have mainly affected the northern region of the country.

South Africa extends its most sincere condolences to the Government and the people of Chile especially the families that have lost their loved ones because of the floods. The government further pledges its empathy with the people who have been displaced as a result of the floods.

Accordingly, the South African Government has directed its embassy in Chile to galvanise support from the South African businesses with operations in Chile, the Chile-South Africa Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (CHISA) as well as the South African community based in Chile to assist in the country’s relief efforts.
