President Zuma congratulates President Alassane Ouattara on his re-election as the President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire
On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa, H.E. President Jacob Zuma congratulates President Alassane Ouattara on his re-election as President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, following the Presidential Elections held on 25 October 2015.
President Zuma further congratulates the people of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire for conducting a peaceful, transparent, credible, free and fair election, as declared by the AU and ECOWAS election observer teams and the results announced by the Independent Election Commission of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.
President Zuma expresses his commitment to continue working closely with President Ouattara to enhance the good bilateral relations which exist between the Republic of South Africa and the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, paying particular focus on the strengthening of economic cooperation.
