Minister Nkoana-Mashabane to address the Graduation ceremony and roundtable discussion on the United Nations Resolution 1325

International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane will be the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony of women from the SADC Secretariat and Member States who participated in a Capacity Building Programme on “Mediation, Negotiations & Constitution Drafting” offered by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation.

The graduation ceremony will precede a round-table discussion on the United Nations Resolution 1325, as part of celebrating the International Women’s Day. The UNSC Resolution 1325 is a landmark international legal framework that addresses not only the inordinate impact of war on women, but also the pivotal role women should and do play in conflict management, conflict resolution and sustainable peace.
