South Africa to host an Extra-ordinary SADC Double Troika Summit
The President of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Mr Jacob Zuma, in his capacity as the Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation, will host the Heads of State of the SADC Double Troika for an Extra-ordinary Summit of the Double Troika on Friday, 03 July 2015, in Pretoria.
The SADC Double Troika Summit will receive reports from the SADC Facilitator to the Kingdom of Lesotho, Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa, and the SADC Ministerial Organ Troika Fact-finding Mission, which was urgently sent to Lesotho to assess recent the political and security developments in the Kingdom.
The Double Troika is made up of the Republics of Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Malawi and the Kingdom of Lesotho. The Summit of Heads of States will be preceded by a Double Troika Ministerial and Senior officials’ meeting.
