Minister Nkoana-Mashabane visits the North-West Province for a belated Mandela Day charity event and a public lecture

International Relations and Cooperation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane is scheduled to visit the North-West Province on 21 – 22 July 2016 to take part in a belated Mandela Day event at the Emmanuel Disability and Old Age Centre in Jouberton, under the City of Matlosana Local Municipality, and to deliver a public lecture at the North-West University in Potchefstroom under the theme: “Reflections on the Value of Patriotism in Diplomacy”.

Event 1: Mandela Day

Venue: Emmanuel Disability and Old Age Centre, Jouberton, Matlosana

Event 2: Public Lecture

Date: Friday, 22 July 2016

Venue: GKSA Hall, North-West University, Potchefstroom, c/o Molen and Meyer streets

Time: 10h00

Minister Nkoana-Mashabane will use the two events to reiterate South Africa’s role in Africa and the world, and to reflect on former President Mandela’s legacy of inspiring South Africa’s foreign policy vision of an African continent that is prosperous, peaceful, democratic, non-racial, non-sexist and united and which aspires to a world that is just and equitable.
