President Zuma sends a message of condolences following Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-661 crash

On behalf of the Government and the people of South Africa, President Jacob Zuma has conveyed a message of condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of all the victims of the Pakistan International Airlines Flight PK-661 that crashed in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province today, Wednesday, 07 December 2016.

The passenger plane carrying over 40 people crashed on a domestic flight from the mountainous northern city of Chitral to Islamabad, with the unlikelihood of any survivors, according to Pakistan’s aviation authorities.

“On behalf of the Government and people of South Africa, I wish to send my deepest condolences to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, particularly the families and friends affected by the tragedy,” said President Zuma.
