Mr S Mokgalapa (DA) to ask the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation:

How many (a) persons of South Africa’s diplomatic corps have been found guilty of committing any form of crime and (b) of the specified persons were subsequently deployed to foreign missions after undergoing vetting? NO2900E

REPLY:

(a) 8 employees have been found guilty of having committed a crime when pre-employment check was conducted.

(b) 2 were deployed after having undergone a full vetting investigation and were found security competent.
