DIRCO to brief the media on SA's hosting of the 17th Indian Ocean Rim Association Council of Ministers’ Meetings
The Deputy Director-General for Asia and Middle East in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Professor Anil Sooklal, will brief the media on South Africa's hosting of 17th Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Council of Ministers’ Meetings scheduled to take place from 14 to 17 October 2017 in Durban. During the meeting, Indonesia will officially hand over the chairship of the association to South Africa.
The Council of Minister’s Meetings will be held under the theme: “IORA – uniting the peoples of Africa, Asia, Australasia, and the Middle East through enhanced co-operation for peace, stability and sustainable development”.
