DIRCO and State Security Minsters to brief the media on Mr McGowan’s release
The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Hon. Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, and the Minister of State Security, Hon. David Mahlobo, will brief the media on the release of Mr Stephen McGowan from captivity in Mali. Mr McGowan was taken hostage by militants whilst on a tour of Mali in 2011.
The media briefing will take place at the Ronnie Mamoepa Media Centre, GCIS Head Office, Hatfield, Pretoria, immediately after the post-Cabinet media briefing, which starts at 11:00.
