Deputy Minister Landers to host the Fourth Meeting of the BRICS Deputy Ministers on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
International Relations and Cooperation Deputy Minister Luwellyn Landers will on Wednesday, 20 June 2018 host the Fourth Meeting of the BRICS Deputy Ministers on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), scheduled to take place in Pretoria.
The meeting of the BRICS Deputy Ministers will be held in preparation for the 10th Summit taking place at the Sandton International Convention Centre from 25 to 27 July 2018. South Africa assumed the role of chair of BRICS on 01 January 2018 and will remain in this position until 31 December 2018.
It is expected that the meeting will discuss the current situation in these two regions, including the developments in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Libya and the Middle East Peace Process (MEPP)”.
