Public warned of fraudulent emails using Minister Sisulu's name

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) wishes to warn members of the public who are receiving fraudulent emails purporting to be from Minister Lindiwe Sisulu that such emails are fraudulent.

The emails ask the recipients if they are “available to help me (Minister Sisulu) handle an urgent EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)”.

We appeal to everyone to be vigilant and also report these illegal activities.

The Department commends members of the public and staff who continue to alert or seek clarity from the Department when they receive these suspicious and dubious requests.
