Media accreditation for the FOCAC Summit to be held in China

Members of the media interested in covering the upcoming Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, scheduled for September 2018 in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, are notified of the following arrangements:

• The online accreditation system for both commercial and official media is live till 02 August 2018 and can be accessed through https://mediaregistration.focac2018.cn.

• All media planning to cover the event must apply for visas at their nearest Chinese diplomatic mission in South Africa.

• Instructions on accreditation and visa applications will be announced by the Chinese Foreign Ministry Press Centre at http://ipc.fmprc.gov.cn.

South Africa and China co-chair FOCAC. The last FOCAC Summit was held in Johannesburg, South Africa, in December 2015 and adopted the “Declaration of the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation”.
