South Africa sends condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran following a plane crash

The President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa has sent his condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran following plane crash.

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa has conveyed a message of condolences to the government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran following the plane crash that occurred in the Zagros Mountain Range on Sunday, 18 February 2018, killing all passengers and crew members on board, totalling 66 lives.

President Ramaphosa said: “We extend our condolences to His Excellency President Hasan Rouhani, the Government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The South African people stand with the Iranian people, particularly the families of the victims, during this time of mourning.”
