Minister Pandor to participate on the United Nations Security Council Debate on the Pandemics and Sustainable Peace – Today, 12 August 2020 – 16h00 – 17h30

The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr. Naledi Pandor will this afternoon, 12 August 2020 at 16h00 – 17h30 participate on the United Nations Security Council Debate on Pandemics and Sustainability Peace, under the Presidency of Indonesia.

The debate is scheduled to take place at Ministerial level and will be chaired by H.E. Ms. Retno L.P. Marsudi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. It is anticipated that the Council will be briefed by UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, Former Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon in his capacity as a member of The Elders (an NGO founded by Nelson Mandela in 2007) and Ms. Sarah Cliffe, Director of the Centre on International Cooperation at New York University.
