BRICS Deputy Ministers to discuss the situation in the Middle East
The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ms Candith Mashego-Dlamini, will participate in a video conference of the BRICS Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs/Special Envoys on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The conference is scheduled for Monday, 17 May 2021.
The conference will be hosted by India as Chair of BRICS for 2021. The meeting will serve as a platform to exchange views on the current situation in the MENA region. It is expected that the meeting will discuss the Middle East Peace Process as well as developments in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, the Eastern Mediterranean Region and the Gulf.
