| The Trade Office  The Trade Office at the Consulate General of the Republic of South  Africa in Mumbai is the representative office of the South African Department  of Trade, Industry Competition (the dtic). The primary focus of the Trade Office is to raise the level of trade  between South Africa India, to expand Indian foreign direct investment into  South Africa and to nurture the bi-lateral South Africa-India States economic  relationship. Trade Promotion  In collaboration with Trade and Investment South Africa, we promote the  export of South African value-added goods and services to India through: 
                                Assisting Indian       companies to source products and services from South Africa by identifying       potential suppliers for Indian importers and buyersAssisting       visiting Indian buyers to South Africa with locating suppliers and       arranging meetingsAssisting South       African exporters with relevant market intelligence that will enable them       to understand and access the Indian marketAssisting South       African exhibitors at trade showsPromoting South       African products and services at business events Investment Promotion  We promote Indian foreign direct investment into South Africa through: 
                                Providing       linkages to investment opportunities in South African sectors and       industriesAssisting Indian       investors to navigate the South African business/investment environmentAssisting Indian       investors with site visits, logistical arrangements and program       coordinationProviding       information on available investment incentive packages Total bilateral trade between South Africa and India amounted to  R122,046bn in 2019. In 2019 India sourced R59,560bn of products from South  Africa and exported R62,485bn of goods to South Africa. Major South African exports to India include Coal, Manganese, Chemical  wood pulp, Platinum, Spark-ignition reciprocating or rotary internal combustion  piston engine, Ferrous waste and scrap, iron ores, waste and scrap of aluminum  and diamonds.
