The New Zealand Government announced the decision to implement the COVID-19 Protection Framework or Traffic Lights system as of 3 December 2021. Detailed information regarding the system may be found on the following website: https://covid19.govt.nz/traffic-lights/covid-19-protection-framework.
The South African High Commission, like all entities or designated businesses in New Zealand, is legally bound and guided by the Framework in the execution of its duties and rendering of services to the public. To facilitate ease and smooth access to its services , the HC advises all those who do business with it to kindly comply to the traffic light system through:
- Visitors having an appointment.
- All visitors are to produce a Vaccine Pass on entry at the High Commission premises.
- If unable to produce a vaccine pass, a negative COVID-19 test result that is not more than 72 hours from time of appointment must be produced. The results must be on official documentation.
