Egypt: Travel Insurance

The South African Embassy in Cairo has advised that South African citizens travelling to Egypt must be in possession of travel insurance with specific reference to insurance for medical eventualities.

The reason being that hospitals in Egypt do not admit foreign patients based on credit card payment and require either cash or travel insurance.
