South African Government notes media reports about aid worker killed in Afghanistan

Pretoria – The Department of Foreign Affairs has taken note of media reports regarding the death of a South African aid worker in Afghanistan.

The Department is still awaiting official verification and confirmation of that report.

South Africa has no presence in Afghanistan and therefore we are in liaison with our Mission in Islamabad to ensure that they assist as speedily as possible regarding the matter.
